RANGE OPEN: You will need either a high from the ground 2WD, an all-wheel drive or 4WD to use Amamoor Creek Road. The Council have done a little work but the road is still in poor condition.
The Council have not done any major work on this road since very early in March and this is our fourth or fifth flood this year. Drive carefully. The road is not suitable for low to the ground vehicles.
Grants: We are very grateful to the Qld Rural & Industry Development Authority for a Grant to repair the internal crossings, and to the Department of Tourism, Innovation & Sport for a Grant to replace water damaged items.
SSAA Q39 Branch – Shooting Range:
The Shooting Range is open to the general public but with restricted numbers. Bookings are essential. All are welcome here.
The Covered Firing Line has been re-roofed and extra benches have been installed. For now we will continue with just eight shooters per session.
We have also completed the concreting of an undercover area for our visitors.
The Range Availability calendar has been updated for this year.
Firearm Safety Course: We have dates!!!! 28 May (fully booked now) and 25 June. Bookings are essential.
Number Plate: We have found a number plate at the Range. If you are missing one please contact us.
Staplers: We will no longer supply staple guns at the Range. It is a huge expense and they are frequently broken or taken home. Please bring your own means (stapler or tape) to attach targets to the supplied backing boards.

Annual Range Pass (Formerly known as membership): All renewals are emailed in late June and early July. The new financial year runs from 01.07.2021-30.06.2022.
If you would like to hold an Annual Range Pass which offers a discount Range fee per shoot, please contact us for this also.
